Most people who are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the home want things that are easy to care for and keep clean. There are some coffee tables which are stands with an entire piece of glass set on top. This type of glass coffee table is also easy to clean and many times can be compact so it can be put away after it is used. This can be a nice feature if there is not much room or if you are entertaining guests.
One of the most appealing aspects of purchasing a glass instead of a traditional wooden coffee table is the cost. They tend to be less expensive. A glass coffee table can also be improvised with any glass top of your choosing and by putting anything underneath it from a stand to a chest or trunk.
